What Hurts More? Implants or Extractions?

//What Hurts More? Implants or Extractions?

This is a patient’s testimonial about the level of discomfort between implant insertion and a tooth extraction. Both are surgical dental procedures, but completely different on a discomfort level to be expected by the patient. Everything is individual.

Dental Arts Patient Testimonial:

“Six years ago, I came in to get some work done on the left side when Dr. Nawrocki told me about a cracked tooth on the right. I didn’t pay attention to it since it didn’t hurt. However, six months ago, I felt like I had something stuck in between my teeth. I thought that I’d floss when I got out of work. By the end of the day, my whole right jaw was aching terribly. I called Dental Arts San Diego and Dr. Nawrocki was able to get me the next day to extract my tooth. After three or four months, I came back in and had my implant installed. They centrifuged my blood and put it in for fast healing, and I feel great! If anyone I know is thinking about getting their tooth extracted and an implant put in, I’ll recommend Dental Arts San Diego. The tooth extraction hurt a bit—it took me a couple of days to return to work. However, the dental implant was a piece of cake. It just took me a day to recover by simply using an ice pack to help with swelling.”
